Northwest Conference announced the final standings for the 2025-26 McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports Trophy following the conclusion of the spring championship season, with Whitworth University earning its 16th overall title and third consecutive all-sports crown.
The Pirates finished the academic year with 271 points, 58 points clear of second-place George Fox University. Whitworth was led by conference championships in women’s track & field and baseball, while also posting runner-up finishes in men’s track & field, women’s golf, and both men’s and women’s tennis. The Pirates also added fifth-place points in women’s lacrosse, sixth place in softball, and seventh place in men’s golf.
George Fox totaled 213 points to finish second overall. The Bruins claimed conference titles in men’s track & field, women’s golf, and women’s lacrosse, while also earning a second-place finish in women’s track & field.
University of Puget Sound placed third with 193 points, highlighted by a tie for third in baseball and fifth-place finishes in men’s track & field and women’s golf.
Linfield University finished fourth with 190 points, while Whitman College placed fifth with 184 points behind conference championships in both men’s and women’s tennis.
Lewis & Clark College finished sixth with 174 points, followed by Willamette University in seventh with 166 points after capturing the conference title in men’s golf.
Pacific Lutheran University placed eighth with 159 points and earned the NWC softball championship, while Pacific University rounded out the standings in ninth with 152 points.
The Northwest Conference All-Sports Trophy recognizes athletic excellence among Northwest Conference institutions across all fields of competition. It is named in honor of John Lewis, the baseball coach (1947-72), basketball coach (1947-67) and athletics director (1952- 72) at Willamette University; and Jane McIlroy, Linfield College's women's athletics director and physical education professor from 1950- 82 who also coached field hockey (1952-81), basketball, volleyball, softball and tennis.
