Goodwin & Solomon Named NWC Men’s Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in men’s track and field for the week of March 7th to March 13th.
 
Men’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week
Hezekiah Goodwin | Pacific Lutheran | SR | Distance | Sacramento, CA | Kentlake (WA)
Goodwin won the 800-meters at the PLU Open, besting a 32-competitor field that included athletes from D2, D3, and the junior college ranks. Goodwin's time of 1:56.23 ranks as the fourth fastest time in D3 during the outdoor season. Goodwin additionally finished fifth as a member of the 4x4 and was unofficially third in the 3,000 steeplechase.
 
Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week
Corey Solomon | Pacific Lutheran | SR | Pole Vault | Graham, WA | Graham-Kapowsin
Solomon won the pole vault by clearing 15' 1" a mark that currently ranks fourth in D3 this outdoor season. Solomon's clearance was almost two feet better than the next competitor in a field that included athletes from D2, D3, and the junior college ranks.
