HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of March 7th through 13th.
Men’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week
Henry Tierney I Pacific University (Ore.)| FR | Beaverton, OR| Valley Catholic
Tierney had a successful weekend on the track for the Boxers. In his first event he ran the 1500m in a time of 3:56.76 which puts him atop the NWC times in the event so far. This time also puts Tierney tied-3rd in the NCAA standings so far this season. He then ran in the 400m at a time of 52.00 which puts him in 4th in the NWC standings.
Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week
Masum Real I Pacific Lutheran University| JR | Tacoma, Wash. | Franklin Pierce
Real won the shot put for the second straight meet and set PRs in two events at the PLU Open. Real won the shot put with a PB mark that leads NCAA Division III and finished second in the discus and 5th in the shot put. Real's season best mark in the discus ranks third in NCAA D3 this season.
