HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of March 20th through 27th.
Men’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Stracke I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Puyallup, Wash.| Rogers
Stracke was the top finishing D3 competitor in the 1,500-meters, clocking a season best time of 3:53.71 at the Bus Scoring Invitational in Spokane. Stracke finished over 15 seconds faster than the next best D3 racer at the meet. Stracke currently owns the seventh fastest 1,500m time in D3 this season and owns the fastest time in the NWC.
Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week
Ethan Kassebaum I George Fox University | GR | Oregon City, Ore. | Oregon City
Kassebaum launched himself into first place in the nation with a long jump of 24' 0.25" at the Westmont Classic. The graduate's jump tied his own personal best mark set in 2022, and was neither aided nor negated by wind. Kassebaum beat out his closest competitor, teammate Andrew Quach, by nearly ten inches.
