Hines & Real Named NWC Men's Track & Field Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of March 28th through April 3rd. 

Men’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week

Solo Hines I Whitworth University | JR | Kent, Wash.| Kentridge

Solo won both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the Pacific Open. His winning time in the 100 dash was 10.72, a lifetime PR. His time in the 200 was 21.76, which was only .05 off of his PR. He leads the NWC in both events.


Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week

Masum Real I Pacific Lutheran University| JR | Tacoma, Wash. | Franklin Pierce

Real won the shot put at the Pacific Open, marking the fourth meet this season the junior has won the event. Real's throw of 51'9" was over a foot better than the next best finisher. Real was also sixth in the discus and ninth in the hammer throw. Real ranks third in the nation in the shot put and has the best throw in the conference by over five feet.
