Spokane, Wash.- The Whitworth Pirates secured their NWC regular season title, thus earning their right to host the 2026 Northwest Conference Baseball Tournament. The Pirates finished at the top of the 2026 standings with an overall record of 24-14 and a conference record of 20-4.
Joining the Pirates in the tournament field are the Linfield Wildcats, Lewis & Clark River Otters, and the Puget Sound Loggers. The second-seeded Wildcats finished the season with a conference record of 15-9 and are set to face the No. 3 seed River Otters (22-18, 14-10) in the first semi-final match of the day on Friday, May 8th at 9:30 AM. The fourth-seeded Loggers (23-16, 14-10) will take on the Pirates in the second semi-final match at 12:30 PM, followed by the championship final at 3:30 PM.
The tournament champion will earn the NWC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
