Baseball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Matt Stanislavsky I RP I Lewis & Clark | SO | Winnetka, Ill. | Loyola Academy
Stanislavsky allowed one run in six innings of relief and struck out nine batters to help Lewis & Clark earn a four-game sweep of Willamette. The sophomore went 1-0 and scattered four hits and two walks, while holding the Bearcats to a .182 batting average. He earned the win in game two of the series, when he threw the final two innings and struck out three, while allowing one run, in a 10-9 walk-off victory. He threw four scoreless frames in game three of the series and struck out six batters, to help Lewis & Clark earn a comeback 5-4 win over Willamette to complete the NWC sweep. Stanislavsky ranks eighth in NCAA DIII in strikeouts-per-9 (13.6).
Baseball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kahiau Teruya I DH I Puget Sound | SR | Wailuku, Hawaii | Maui
Teruya was an unstoppable force offensively for the Loggers in their 2-1 series win over Linfield. He batted .750 (9-12) and had four extra-base hits, including two doubles, a triple, and a home run on Saturday. He also got on base thanks to a hit by pitch and a walk, and went an impressive 4-5 with four singles on Sunday. He scored seven runs and had three RBIs for the Loggers, and also didn't record a single strikeout.
