Sophomore pitcher Colton Ouellette started game two of Saturday's doubleheader against the Whitman Blues, tossing seven strong innings, allowing just one hit while striking out eight. He gave up just two walks, with his only hit allowed being a leadoff single in the third inning. He faced the minimum in four of seven innings pitched, allowing a runner to reach second base just three times.

Garrett Strube had an excellent weekend at the plate for the Bruins in their 3-1 series upset over the No. 10 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags. In the four games, Strube recorded at least one hit and one run in each game. For the weekend, the junior batted 7-12 (.583), drawing five walks as well. For the weekend, Strube scored nine runs in four games, including four in Fox's 12-6 Friday win over the Stags. In addition, Strube had a 1.000 fielding percentage over those four games.
