George Fox Women & Linfield men lead the scoreboard after day one of the 2026 NWC Spring Classic

Lakewood, Wash.– At the end of the first day, the George Fox Bruin women and Linfield Wildcat men lead at the 2026 Northwest Conference Golf Spring Classic. Round two at the Oakbrook Golf Club in Lakewood, Washington is set for a tee time at 8:30AM PST on Sunday, April 5th.

Men

The Linfield men combined to finish four-over par with a team score of 288, finishing the first day of the NWC Spring Classic in the top spot. The Whitman Blues sit in second place with a team score of 295 (+11). 

Heading into round two, there are four of nine teams in a tied position– Pacific Lutheran and Lewis & Clark are tied for third at 297 (+13), while Whitworth and Willamette are tied in the sixth place position at 303 (+19). George Fox holds the fifth place position with a team score of 298 (+14). Rounding out the day one scores is Pacific at 304 (+20) and Puget Sound 305 (+21).

Individually, George Fox sophomore Eli Harrell tops the leaderboard– hitting two-under par to finish day one with a score of 69. Competition follows closely behind in a three-way tie for second– Kellen Hudson (Linfield), Max Hosfeld (Whitworth), and Ryan Murray (Pacific) all finishing the day with scores of 70 (-1).

Women

The Bruin women completed day one with a team score of 307(+19), and will look to defend their top spot heading into day two of the 2026 NWC Spring Classic. The Whitworth Pirates hold the second spot, with a team score of 313 (+25).

The Pacific Boxers hold third place at a team score of 318 (+30), followed by Lewis & Clark in fourth (321), Whitman (323), Pacific Lutheran (340), and Puget Sound (347). Linfield posted a team score of 372 to wrap up the day one standings. 

In individual play, sophomores Ahika Jani (Lewis & Clark) and Katelyn Lam (George Fox) are tied for first with scores of 74 (+2). Following closely behind in a three-way tie for third are Stella Fergin of Whitworth, Jayda Thomas of Pacific Lutheran, and Bead Boonta of Pacific at 75 (+3).
