Sonya Drayton | Lewis & Clark | FY | West Linn, Ore. | West Linn
First-year Drayton won the ITA Northwest Regional singles championship after going 5-0 without dropping a set. Drayton lost only 13 games across five matches, defeating Whitman’s Renata Rosell Puga 6-4, 6-1 in the final to become the first Lewis & Clark woman to win the regional singles title since 2016. The championship earned Drayton ITA All-America honors and a berth in the National Small College Championships. Drayton also teamed with first-year Faith Galyardt to reach the doubles semifinals, posting three wins before falling to the tournament’s top-seeded team.
