Women’s Cross Country - Student-Athlete of the Week
Breanna Schmitt I George Fox | GR | Newberg, Ore. | Newberg
Schmitt was the top D3 finisher at the PLU Invite, finishing the women’s 6K in a time of 21:10 - a personal best, #3 all time at George Fox, and 37 seconds ahead of the nearest NWC runner in the field (her teammate Chloe Cook). Her time is the fastest in the NWC so far this Fall.
Men’s Cross Country - Student-Athlete of the Week
London Haley I Whitworth | SR | Duvall, Wash. | Cedarcrest
Haley won the PLU Invitational with a time of 24:27.8. He was 15 seconds clear of the runner-up from Puget Sound and helped the Pirate men take second place in the team standings.
