The Northwest Conference is proud to announce the 2025-26 First-Team All-NWC Scholar-Athletes. Each institution was permitted to nominate one male and one female student-athlete in accordance with the selection criteria established by the campus.
Lana Davis — Women’s Lacrosse — Senior
Del Mar, Calif. | Santa Fe Christian High School
Major: Business Administration, Financial Services

Lana Davis has been a standout member of the George Fox University women’s lacrosse program while achieving success in the classroom and contributing to the campus community. A four-time Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete and Dean’s List honoree each semester, Davis has consistently balanced the demands of collegiate athletics with success in the classroom.
On the field, Davis has been a key contributor to the George Fox women’s lacrosse program. She earned three First Team All-Northwest Conference selections, was named the 2026 NWC Offensive Player of the Year, and received Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Region honors twice, including First Team recognition in 2025. Davis concluded her career as the program’s all-time leader in points with 356.
Davis has also made a meaningful impact within the George Fox community. She served as president of the Financial Planning Club and volunteered with Night to Shine, an annual prom experience for individuals with special needs.

Caden Hildenbrand — Cross Country / Track & Field — Senior

Caden Hildenbrand has established himself as an accomplished student-athlete at George Fox University through his achievements in cross country, track & field, and the classroom. A three-time NWC Scholar Athlete, Hildenbrand has also earned six USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors and two College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections while maintaining a 3.986 GPA across three majors.
Hildenbrand has been a consistent contributor for the Bruins in both cross country and track & field. He earned three First Team All-NWC selections in cross country, one First Team All-NWC honor in track & field, and was named the 2022 NWC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year. He has also earned USTFCCCA Cross Country All-West Region honors twice (2022 and 2025).
Beyond competition, Hildenbrand has contributed to the George Fox and Newberg communities through initiatives such as GFU Serve Day, supporting local organizations and community members.
“Knowing Caden, I imagine he will feel someone else is more deserving of this award, but that’s the nature of how he views the world,” said George Fox cross country head coach Mike Wilson. “His curiosity and willingness to put in a ton of work are obvious to the people around him, and he puts a lot of focus and work into his studies, as well as on the track. He has earned this award!”
Hildenbrand also became the only George Fox student-athlete with three majors to earn NWC Scholar Athlete recognition.
Madison Scroggins — Softball — Senior

Madison Scroggins has made a significant impact on the Lewis & Clark softball program through her athletic success, academic achievements, and involvement across campus. A summa cum laude graduate, three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, and NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, Scroggins has consistently excelled in the classroom while contributing to the River Otter softball program.
Scroggins has been a key contributor for Lewis & Clark softball, earning First Team All-Northwest Conference honors in 2026 and Second Team All-NWC recognition in 2025. She helped lead the Pioneers to the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025 and three consecutive NWC Tournament appearances from 2024-26. A member of the winningest class in program history (106-64), Scroggins ranks among the top 20 in program history in several career statistical categories, including games played (4th), runs (6th), hits (7th), on-base percentage (tied-7th), starts (8th), at-bats (9th), stolen bases (11th), and RBIs (tied-16th).
Beyond competition, Scroggins has made significant contributions to the Lewis & Clark community through academic and campus involvement. She worked with Athletic Communications and in the athletic training room, conducted research through a Biology Practicum focused on fruit flies, served as a grader for a biology course, and assisted faculty research involving field work and small mammal studies.

Following graduation, Scroggins will begin a position with the Sequoia National Park Service as a research technician conducting vegetation and fuel surveys. Her long-term goal is to pursue a career in conservation research as a wildlife biologist.
Zach Martin — Men’s Swimming — Senior
Claremont, Calif. | Claremont High School

Zach Martin has been a distinguished member of the Lewis & Clark College swimming program, combining athletic achievement with academic excellence and campus involvement. A Dean’s List honoree, three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Phi Beta Kappa member, and Dell-Smith Scholar-Athlete Bronze Medal recipient, Martin has consistently demonstrated excellence in the classroom while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics.
Martin has been a key contributor to the Lewis & Clark men’s swimming program, earning 13 All-Northwest Conference honors during his career. He anchored the 400 freestyle relay that captured the 2025 NWC championship, marking the program’s first relay championship since 1989. Martin earned First Team All-NWC honors in the 200 freestyle as a junior and earned All-NWC recognition in the 100 and 200 freestyle events in each of his four seasons. He was also part of multiple program-record relay performances, including the 200 and 400 medley relays and the 200, 400, and 800 freestyle relays. Martin currently ranks second in program history in the 200 freestyle, fourth in the 100 freestyle, sixth in the 50 freestyle, and seventh in the 100 breaststroke.
Beyond competition, Martin has contributed to the Lewis & Clark and Portland communities through leadership and service. He has served as Choir Community Chorale Assistant Conductor, Cappella Nova Bass Section Leader, Water Polo Club President, and St. James Lutheran Choral Scholar. He has also continued his involvement in aquatics by coaching with the Lake Oswego Water Polo Club.

A College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Dean’s List honoree, All-American, and All-Conference recipient, Sain has consistently demonstrated success as a student-athlete.
Sain has been a standout contributor for Linfield softball, tying the NCAA Division III all-time record for doubles in a season. Her performance on the field has earned her All-American and All-Northwest Conference recognition while helping contribute to the continued success of the Wildcat program.
Beyond competition, Sain has contributed to the Linfield community through her involvement with SAAC and her service as a student athletic trainer for the football program, dedicating countless hours to supporting fellow student-athletes.

Zach Hampson has demonstrated the qualities of a Division III student-athlete through his accomplishments with the Linfield University baseball program, dedication to his studies, and commitment to serving others. A Dean’s List honoree, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, and Division III Baseball All-Region recipient, Hampson has demonstrated success throughout his career as a Wildcat student-athlete.
Hampson has been a key contributor for Linfield baseball, earning Division III Baseball All-Region recognition for his performance on the field. His accomplishments have helped him establish himself as a valuable member of the Wildcat program.
Beyond competition, Hampson has contributed to the Linfield community through his leadership and service. As a member of SAAC, he helped lead the Giving Tree event, raising nearly $2,400 and collecting more than 1,500 items to support the community.

Ally Hammond has built a remarkable career at Pacific University through record-setting athletic accomplishments and dedication to academics and the campus community. A Dean’s List honoree and three-time NWC Scholar Athlete, Hammond has achieved significant success in track & field while maintaining a strong commitment to the classroom and campus community.
She is a five-time NWC champion, four-time NCAA qualifier, three-time Indoor All-American, and two-time Outdoor All-American. Hammond finished runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2025 and 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships, placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, and earned a third-place finish in the event at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was also named the 2026 NWC Women’s Athlete of the Meet and the 2026 USTFCCCA Indoor West Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year.
Hammond set 12 Pacific school records across indoor and outdoor track & field events, including the 60 meters, 200 meters, 60-meter hurdles, long jump, 100 meters, 400 meters, 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles, and relay events.
Outside of competition, Hammond has contributed to the Pacific and Forest Grove communities through involvement with the Pharmacy Club, volunteering at a local food bank, and working with youth through Forest Grove High School basketball camps. She was also recognized as Pacific’s SAAC Athlete of the Year in 2025 and 2026.

Noah Gosch — Men’s Soccer — Senior

Noah Gosch has been a cornerstone of the Pacific University men’s soccer program through his performance on the field, academic success, and dedication to serving others. A Dean’s List honoree and three-time NWC Scholar Athlete, Gosch has demonstrated the dedication and character that define the Division III student-athlete experience.
On the field, Gosch was a consistent contributor for the Pacific men’s soccer program, appearing in 62 career matches while making 59 starts. He recorded three career goals, six assists, and 19 shots on goal while providing leadership and stability for the Boxer program.
Beyond competition, Gosch has made an impact through service and mentorship in the soccer community. He has coached and volunteered with local soccer organizations and the Forest Grove High School soccer program, helping support and develop younger athletes.

Abby Winkler — Women’s Soccer — Senior

Abby Winkler has created a lasting legacy within Pacific Lutheran University women’s soccer through her achievements as a goalkeeper, student, and community member. A Dean’s List honoree, College Sports Communicators First Team Academic All-American, and CSC Academic All-District selection, Winkler has demonstrated success both on the field and in the classroom. She was also awarded PLU’s General Chemistry Award in 2024, the Organic Chemistry Award in 2025, and earned Datafest Best Analysis in 2024.
Winkler became the first women’s soccer player in PLU history to earn CSC First Team Academic All-American honors while also earning recognition for her performance as a goalkeeper. She finished her career ranked fourth in program history in goalkeeper minutes played (5,793), fifth in goals-against average (0.58), and seventh in saves (245), while recording 30 career shutouts. During her career, Winkler helped lead the Lutes to four consecutive NWC championships and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. In her senior season, she started all 20 matches, recorded 11 shutouts, and posted a 0.36 goals-against average. She earned First Team All-NWC honors, CSC Academic All-District recognition, and United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region honors. Winkler was also named NWC Defensive Player of the Week four times during her career, totaling seven career weekly honors.
Off the field, Winkler contributed to the PLU community through undergraduate research, serving as a teaching assistant and tutor, participating in SAAC, volunteering at sports clinics, and serving through Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ethan Keintz — Baseball — Graduate Student

Ethan Keintz has been a standout contributor for Pacific Lutheran University baseball through his athletic performance, leadership, and commitment to the Lute community. A Dean’s List honoree, three-time NWC Scholar Athlete, and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection in 2025 and 2026, Keintz has consistently demonstrated excellence throughout his collegiate career.
Keintz has been a key contributor for the Lutes, appearing in 133 games over six seasons. During the 2026 season, he earned Second Team All-Northwest Conference honors after leading Pacific Lutheran in batting average (.352) and hits (51), while contributing 24 RBIs, 13 extra-base hits, and 11 stolen bases. He also played a memorable role in program history with a home run during PLU’s road upset of the University of Washington.
Beyond baseball, Keintz has made a positive impact on campus and in the community. He participated in the National Marrow Donor Program, organized campus events, studied abroad in Dubai, and helped construct a new visitor bullpen fence at the baseball field.

Zoe Witter — Women’s Soccer — Junior

Zoe Witter has emerged as a key leader for the University of Puget Sound women’s soccer program through her athletic achievements, academic success, and commitment to representing the Logger program with excellence. A six-time Dean’s List honoree and 2025 Academic All-District selection, Witter has consistently excelled in the classroom and on the field.
Witter has been a key contributor for the Loggers, earning All-Northwest Conference recognition in each of her first three seasons. She was named Second Team All-NWC in 2023 and 2024 before earning First Team All-NWC honors in 2025. During the 2025 season, Witter started all 22 matches, playing 1,637 minutes while recording five goals and two assists. She helped lead Puget Sound to the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
Known for her competitive approach and ability to support her teammates, Witter has represented the Logger program with determination, consistency, and integrity.
“Zoe is a class competitor,” said Puget Sound head women’s soccer coach Stephanie Cox. “During games she is fierce and always pushing through the physicality and fouls that opponents bring to try to stop her. She never makes excuses or lets her frustration with the opponent take center stage, but gives her utmost relentlessly so that the team can succeed with her at her best.”
Witter was also recognized as the Logger Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Hayden Teeter — Football — Senior

Hayden Teeter has left a significant mark on the University of Puget Sound football program through record-setting athletic accomplishments, academic achievement, and dedication to his teammates and community. A five-time Dean’s List honoree, three-time NWC Scholar Athlete, and 2025 Academic All-District selection, Teeter has demonstrated achievement across all areas of the student-athlete experience.
During his career, he broke four NCAA Division III records and four Puget Sound program passing records. He earned Third Team All-Northwest Conference honors and was named the Logger Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Teeter’s impact extended beyond competition through his involvement in the Puget Sound and greater community. He served as the NWC Community Service and Involvement Chair, represented his team as a SAAC representative, volunteered with Operation Night Watch and a senior citizen social call program, led the QB for Cancer initiative, and participated with Young Life.
“The term "once in a lifetime" gets used too often. Hayden earned it.,” said Puget Sound head football coach Jeff Thomas. “He showed the same sportsmanship and genuine enthusiasm for his teammates when he was the backup quarterback as he did the year he led the entire nation in passing as a senior. Constantly voted most respected on the team, a true servant leader who did his best work consistently."
Teeter was also nominated for the AFCA Good Works Team, recognizing student-athletes who demonstrate a significant commitment to community service.

Payton Davies — Women’s Cross Country / Track & Field — Senior

Payton Davies has been a dedicated member of the Whitman College cross country and track & field programs while making meaningful contributions through athletics, leadership, and campus involvement. A member of the cross country and distance track programs, Davies has consistently represented the Blues with dedication and professionalism.
Davies served as a captain for Whitman’s cross country and distance track programs from 2024 through 2026 and qualified for the NWC Track Championships in each of her four seasons, competing in events ranging from the 800 meters to the 10,000 meters. A consistent contributor in cross country, Davies regularly finished among Whitman’s top runners and competed at the Northwest Conference Championships and NCAA Regional Championships throughout her career. She helped lead the Blues to their highest women’s cross country team finish since 2019.
Beyond athletics, Davies has made a meaningful impact on the Whitman community. She served as a SAAC representative during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 academic years, helping organize food and clothing drives, fundraisers, and athletic events. She also completed an internship with the Blue Mountain Land Trust through an Environmental Studies Department Grant and contributed to student media as an illustrator for the Whitman Wire and Illustration Editor during the 2025-26 academic year.
“Payton was exceptional at everything she did and carried herself with a professional grace,” said Whitman head coach Scott Shields. “She accomplished so much academically, socially, artistically and gave back to the campus and community at an extremely high level. With everything she did I never saw her stressed. She’s one of a kind.”

Ali Efe Isik — Men’s Basketball — Senior

Ali Efe Isik has been a defining contributor for the Whitman College men’s basketball program through his athletic accomplishments, leadership, and dedication to the Whitman community.
A three-time All-Northwest Conference selection, Isik reached the 1,000-point milestone during his career and ranks seventh all-time in Whitman men’s basketball scoring history. He helped lead the Blues to two conference championships and three conference tournament championship appearances while establishing himself as a consistent contributor for the program.
Isik has also demonstrated a commitment to community engagement. He has volunteered with local elementary schools for four years, supporting youth basketball clinics and mentorship opportunities, while completing more than 65 volunteer hours during his time at Whitman. As a member of the international student community, Isik has supported campus events and assisted fellow students. He was also recognized for having the “best student resume” at Whitman, highlighting his academic, athletic, and community involvement.
“Ali embodies everything it means to be a student-athlete at Whitman College,” said Whitman head men’s basketball coach John Lamanna. “His dedication in the classroom and his unwavering commitment to sportsmanship on the court set a standard for our entire program. Ali doesn't just compete at a high level; he leads with integrity, respects the game, and elevates everyone around him through his exceptional character. He is a true scholar-athlete and an absolute privilege to coach.”

Kezlie Thygesen — Women’s Cross Country / Track & Field — Senior

Kezlie Thygesen has been a standout member of the Whitworth University cross country and track & field programs through her athletic achievements, academic success, and commitment to the campus community. A Dean’s List honoree since 2023, Thygesen has consistently demonstrated excellence in competition while representing the Pirates with dedication and sportsmanship.
Thygesen has achieved significant success in both cross country and track & field during her career at Whitworth. In track, she earned NWC honors in the 10,000 meters in 2025 and in both the 10,000 meters and 5,000 meters in 2026. She earned All-Region honors in track in 2026 after placing second in both the 5K and 10K at the conference championships.
In cross country, Thygesen earned Second Team All-NWC honors in 2024 before earning First Team All-NWC recognition in 2025 after placing third at the conference championships. She also earned regional honors in cross country in 2025.
Beyond competition, Thygesen has contributed to the Whitworth and Spokane communities through service and involvement. She served as an overnight host and volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane.
Thygesen was part of the Whitworth women’s track team that won the 2026 Northwest Conference Championship.

Ben Nyquist — Men’s Basketball — Senior
Kirkland, Wash. | Lake Washington High School

Ben Nyquist has made a significant impact on the Whitworth University men’s basketball program through his accomplishments on the court and contributions as a team leader. A Third Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC) and inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honor Society), Nyquist has consistently demonstrated success throughout his collegiate career.
Nyquist has been a consistent contributor for Whitworth men’s basketball throughout his career, helping lead the Pirates to six Northwest Conference championships, including three regular season championships and three tournament championships. During the 2025-26 season, he started 27 of 28 games, averaged 11.7 points per game, recorded 94 steals, and ranked third in the nation in steals while setting the Whitworth single-season steals record. He earned Second Team All-Northwest Conference honors while helping the Pirates capture the NWC Regular Season Championship, NWC Tournament Championship, and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Throughout his career, Nyquist helped Whitworth reach multiple postseason appearances, including NCAA Tournament appearances in 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2025-26. He was part of teams that advanced to the NCAA Second Round in 2023-24 and earned first-round appearances in 2022-23 and 2025-26.
Beyond competition, Nyquist has contributed to the Whitworth community through leadership and involvement. He served as a team captain, participated in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, mentored through the FCA Mentorship program, and volunteered at Rockwood South Hill Retirement Home.

Whitley Stepp — Women’s Track & Field — Senior

Whitley Stepp has made a significant impact at Willamette University through her accomplishments in track & field, academic achievement, and service to the campus community. A Chi Alpha Sigma inductee, USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, and STEM Scholar, Stepp has consistently excelled in the classroom and in competition.
Stepp has achieved significant success in the high jump during her career, earning two NWC High Jump Championships, one NWC runner-up finish, and three NCAA Championship appearances. She became the first Bearcat to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships and earned multiple All-NWC honors in the high jump, triple jump, and relay events, along with USTFCCCA All-Region recognition. In 2024, she was named the Willamette Bearcat Awards Individual Performance of the Year.
In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Stepp has contributed to the Willamette community through service and campus involvement. She earned NWC All-Sportsmanship Team recognition, worked with 13th Street Nursery for three years, served as a YMCA first- and second-grade basketball coach, managed the Colloquium Associate Tutor program, and contributed to the Digital Learning Studio. She has also participated in research focused on Dynamical Algebraic Combinatorics.

Brock Olson — Men’s Golf — Senior

Brock Olson has established himself as a leader within the Willamette University men’s golf program through his athletic success, academic achievements, and commitment to the Bearcat community. A three-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree, two-time Golf Coaches Association of America All-America Scholar, and Chi Alpha Sigma inductee, Olson has consistently demonstrated the balance of academic achievement and athletic commitment that defines the Division III student-athlete experience.
Olson has been a consistent contributor for the Willamette men’s golf program, earning First Team All-Northwest Conference honors three times (2024, 2025, and 2026). He helped the Bearcats qualify for three NCAA Division III Championships (2023, 2025, and 2026) and won the 2025 NWC Spring Classic. His accomplishments on the course also included multiple conference and university weekly honors.
Beyond competition, Olson has been a leader within the Bearcat community. He served as a SAAC representative for eight semesters, earned NWC All-Sportsmanship Team honors twice, and served as a golf team co-captain for more than two years.
“Brock Olson bridges elite performance and exemplary leadership, carrying a stellar 3.85 GPA in Business Administration as two-time All-America Scholar,” said Willamette Director of Athletics Leslie Shevlin. “A three-time First Team All-Conference golfer who led their team to the 2026 NCAA Championship, their true legacy is defined by a deep commitment to the athletic community—serving eight semesters on SAAC, co-captaining the golf team for over two years, and earning back-to-back Northwest Conference All-Sportsmanship honors through unwavering integrity and character.”
