The Northwest Conference (NWC) is proud to announce Pacific University's Ally Hammond as the 2025-26 Northwest Conference Woman of the Year, recognizing her exceptional accomplishments in athletics, academics, leadership and service throughout her collegiate career.
A four-year member of Pacific's women's indoor and outdoor track & field programs, Hammond combined elite athletic performance with outstanding academic achievement, earning a 3.978 cumulative GPA while majoring in Environmental Science: Toxicology & Chemistry. Hammond was also recognized as a Northwest Conference Scholar-Athlete throughout her career.
On the track, Hammond established herself among the NWC's best. She captured Northwest Conference individual championships in the long jump (2023), the 100 meters (2025), and swept the 100 meters, 200 meters and 100-meter hurdles at the 2026 NWC Championships. Hammond was named the 2023 NWC Women's Rookie of the Meet and the 2026 NWC Women's Athlete of the Meet while totaling five conference championships during her career.
Hammond's success extended to the national stage. A four-time NCAA Championships qualifier, she earned multiple NCAA All-America honors, including runner-up finishes in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2025 and 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. She also placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships before earning a third-place finish in the event in 2026. In recognition of her remarkable season, Hammond was named the 2026 USTFCCCA Indoor West Region Women's Track Athlete of the Year.
Over the course of her career, Hammond rewrote the Pacific record book, graduating with 12 school records spanning both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Her records include the indoor 60 meters, 200 meters, 60-meter hurdles, long jump and 4x400-meter relay, along with outdoor records in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles and long jump. She was also selected as Pacific's SAAC Athlete of the Year in both 2025 and 2026.
Beyond her athletic and academic accomplishments, Hammond dedicated herself to serving both her campus and local community. She was a member of Pacific's Pharmacy Club, volunteered at the local food bank and worked at Forest Grove High School's summer basketball camp.
"I'm honored to receive this award. Being a collegiate athlete, while pursuing a degree, and still finding time to be involved with your community is no easy task - no matter what level you compete at. It takes real drive, hard work, and perseverance. Although, it also takes support, and I have received nothing but from Pacific University and the Northwest Conference. I'd also like to thank my coaches, friends, and family who helped me bring my collegiate career this far. My biggest takeaways from being a student-athlete are to be grateful for the experiences given to you, every one of them teaches you a lesson. Always give 110% and make the most of an opportunity that you've been lucky enough to partake in."
Pacific head coach Ryan Huntersimms praised Hammond's impact both on and off the track.
"I am thrilled and proud to see Ally receive this honor," Huntersimms said. "She has poured her blood, sweat and tears into perfecting her craft. She is well-deserving and represents what it means to be a student-athlete in the Northwest Conference."
