George Fox Clinches NWC Women’s Lacrosse Title, Tournament Field Set

Newberg, Ore. – George Fox secured its 10th consecutive Northwest Conference (NWC) Women’s Lacrosse regular season title on Sunday, April 26. The Bruins completed an undefeated run through conference play, finishing 8-0 and earning the right to host the NWC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.

Joining George Fox in the four-team field are Whitman, Lewis & Clark, and Willamette. Whitman earned the No. 2 seed with a 7-1 conference record, followed by Lewis & Clark at 6-2. Willamette claimed the final tournament spot with a 5-3 mark in NWC play.

The tournament will be held May 1–3 at George Fox University. Semifinal action begins Friday, May 1, with top-seeded George Fox taking on No. 4 Willamette at 4 p.m. The second semifinal, featuring No. 2 Whitman and No. 3 Lewis & Clark, is set for 7 p.m. No games are scheduled for Saturday, May 2.

The championship game will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. The winner will earn the NWC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
