All Nine NWC Institutions Featured in Final 2024–25 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND, Ohio – All nine member institutions of the Northwest Conference (NWC) earned points in the final 2024–25 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, which were announced Thursday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup, developed jointly by NACDA and USA Today, ranks NCAA institutions based on their performance in up to 18 sports at NCAA Championship events.

George Fox University led all NWC programs, finishing 96th nationally with 214 points. The Bruins earned 80 points with a fourth-place finish in women’s golf and picked up 25 points from a 33rd-place finish in women’s lacrosse.

Linfield University followed in 108th with 178.5 points, highlighted by an 83-point haul from a third-place national finish in softball. Just behind, Whitworth University secured 110th place with 176.5 points, aided by 49 points from a 24th-place finish in women’s track & field and 25 points from baseball.

Lewis & Clark College placed 122nd with 157 total points, including 55 points in women’s track & field and 37.5 in softball. Whitman College landed in 126th with 150 points, bolstered by identical 17th-place finishes in men’s and women’s tennis.

Pacific Lutheran University (189th, 85 points) earned 10 points from an eighth-place finish in women’s rowing, while Willamette University (198th, 77.5 points) received 57 points in men’s golf and 20.5 in men’s track & field.

University of Puget Sound placed 218th with 66 points, all earned during winter competition, and Pacific University rounded out NWC representation in 222nd with 62 points, including 19 points from women’s track & field.

On the national stage, Emory University claimed the Division III title with 1,198.75 points. Johns Hopkins University (1,147 points) and Tufts University (1,069 points) finished second and third, respectively.
