2025 NWC Fall Classic– Bearcat Men and Bruin Women Lead the Pack Heading into Final Round

Lake Oswego, Ore.– The 2025 Northwest Conference Fall Classic is officially underway after an exciting day at the Lake Oswego Country Club. The men’s side got off to an early start, teeing off at 8:30 AM and wrapping up with the Willamette Bearcats leading the pack after round one. The women’s side teed off just after 10:30, with the George Fox Women finishing on top of the round one scoreboard. 

Men

The Fall Classic defending champions, the Willamette Bearcats, took an early lead on the first day of competition– finishing with a team score of 285, finishing just 1-over-par. In second place sits Linfield with a team score of 289 (+5), followed by Whitman at 290 (+6), and Pacific Lutheran at 291 (+7).

Following close behind in a tie for fifth place, both Whitworth and Lewis & Clark claim a team score of 295 (+11). George Fox is in sixth with a score of 297 (+13), followed by Pacific (303), and Puget Sound (309). 

On the individual leaderboard, Willamette’s Brock Olson sits in the first place position with an impressive 3-under par score of 68, followed by Pacific Lutheran’s Soren Bostrom with a 2-under par score of 69. Tied for third and following close behind are Lewis & Clark’s Joonho Moon and Linfield’s Owen Irving, posting scores of 70 (-1). 


Women

The Bruin women once again look to defend their title as Fall Classic Champions, leading the team scoreboard after round one with a score of 319 (+27). Tied for second place after day one, both Lewis & Clark and Pacific (Ore.) finished with team scores of 328 (+36). Whitman completed the day with a round one score of 334, while Whitworth posted a score of 341 to round out the top 5. 

Puget Sound and Linfield look to break into the top five during tomorrow’s final day of competition, finishing sixth and seventh– Puget Sound posting a team score of 348 and Linfield with a score of 369. Both Willamette and Pacific Lutheran will not field full teams for the Fall Classic, thus not in scoring positions.

Individually, Lewis & Clark’s Ahika Jani topped the leaderboard after round one, earning a score of 75, hitting 2-over par. George Fox’s Katelyn Lam and Samara D'Silva round out the top three leaders; Lam posting a score of 77 (+4) and D’Silva at 78 (+5). 

The action continues at Lake Oswego Country Club in Lake Oswego, Ore. on Monday, October 13th at 8:30 AM for the women and just after 10:30 AM PST for the men.
