George Fox Women Claim Victory at 2025 NWC Fall Classic

Lake Oswego, Ore.– The 2025 Northwest Conference Fall Classic wrapped up this Monday afternoon at the Lake Oswego Country Club– the reigning champions, the George Fox women, claimed victory at the end of the two-day tournament. 

The George Fox Bruins held a 9 stroke lead over second place Pacific at the conclusion of day one, and extended their dominance on day two of the tournament. The Bruins pulled ahead into champion position, finishing with a team score of 319+341 (660). In a round two fight for runner-up, Pacific (Ore.) pulled ahead claiming silver, with a final team score of 328+336 (664). Whitman moved up from their fourth place position, and broke into the top three with a team score of 334+332 (666).

Whitworth battled in the last round to place fourth with a score of 341+327 (668), followed by Lewis & Clark at fifth with a final score of 328+344 (672). Rounding out the final scores were Puget Sound (711) and Linfield (730). Willamette and Pacific Lutheran did not field full teams, thus not in scoring positions.

In individual play, George Fox's Katelyn Lam came out on top, finishing in the first place position with a final score of 77+76 (153). Tied for second place was Bead Boonta of Pacific (Ore.) and Ahika Jani of Lewis & Clark with round one and two combined scores of 159. Following the pair was Carolyn Rose of Whitworth (161) and Camila Yoo of Whitman (165), placing fourth and fifth, respectively.

The NWC Fall Classic marks the first of three conference tournaments that will determine the overall conference champion for the 2025-2026 season, and ultimately determine the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division III Golf Tournament.
