Cecil & Winkler Named NWC Women's Soccer Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Soccer for the week of October 2nd through October 9th.

Women’s Soccer- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Hannah Cecil I F I Pacific Lutheran | JR | Bothell, Wash. | Bothell

Cecil finished the week with three goals and an assist in a pair of Lute wins to take first place in the NWC standings. Cecil had her second hat-trick of the season on Sunday, scoring three times including the game winner in a 5-1 rout of Willamette. Cecil also had an assist in the game. Cecil leads the NWC in both goals (12) and points (26). 


Women’s Soccer- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week

Winkler earned her sixth shutout of the season on Wednesday and finished the week with six saves as the Lutes seized first place in the NWC. Winkler made six saves to get the clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Puget Sound to knock the Loggers out of first place. On Sunday, Winkler earned the win against Willamette, playing in goal for 69 minutes. 

Winkler leads the NWC in goals against average, minutes played, shutouts, and save percentage.
