Women’s Soccer- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kami Novotny I M/F I Pacific Lutheran | JR | Issaquah, Wash. | Issaquah
Novotny had two goals and two assists in a pair of road games for the Lutes. Novotny scored her first career goal on Wednesday at Puget Sound before scoring a goal and two assists in a 5-1 win over Willamette on Sunday. That included assisting on the game winning goal early in the first half.
Women’s Soccer- Defense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Gianna Maldonado I GK I Puget Sound | SR | Albuquerque, N.M. | Saint Pius X
Maldonado was stellar for the Loggers in goal, putting together two clean sheets in 90 minutes of play. She was a part of a Loggers defense that only faced two total shots against Pacific Lutheran, and came up with three big saves against Willamette to keep her record perfect. Maldonado also has yet to allow a goal in conference play.
