Women’s Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week
Alexa Myers | Lewis & Clark | JR | M | El Dorado Hills, CA | Oak Ridge High School
Alexa Myers scored goals in back-to-back games for the first time of her career including the game-winner with two minutes left in double overtime to upset No. 19 Puget Sound. Myers' free kick from 50 yards out to the top left corner sealed the Pios win and broke the school record for most NWC victories in a season. She scored unassisted as the third goal in a 3-0 win at Willamette on Saturday. It's the first multi-goal season of her career.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week
Kimber Thomas | Pacific Lutheran | SR | D | Snohomish, WA | Glacier Peak High School
Anchored a defense that collected a pair of shutouts over the weekend against the 2nd place and 3rd place teams in conference to secure the program's unprecedented 5th straight league title. Thomas sealed the title for the Lutes, scoring the game-winner in the 51st minute on Saturday against GFU in a 1-0 win. Thomas and the Lute D allowed just five shots on goal during the week and have gone 271 minutes without allowing a goal.
