Savea, Erickson, & Koo Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of September 9th through September 14th.

Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Dayton Savea I RB I Pacific Lutheran | WR | Pearl City, Hawaii | Damien Memorial

Savea had his second straight 100-yard receiving game of the year, catching seven passes for 125-yards against nationally-ranked Trinity.

Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Jacob Erickson I DB | George Fox | GR | Snohomish, Wash. | Glacier Peak

Erickson continued his dominant start to the season, recording an additional 2.5 sacks in a 28-20 Oregon Cup Championship victory over Lewis & Clark. The fifth-year senior was second on the team with eight tackles, including 3.0 TFLs for 21 yards, and had one forced fumble to boot. Erickson is currently second in the nation in total sacks with 4.5, and tied for the nation's lead with 7.0 TFLs.

Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Trevor Koo I K I Lewis & Clark | JR | Mill Valley. | Tamalpais

Koo hit a career-high two field goals and finished with eight points in the Oregon Cup Championship Game against George Fox University. The junior kicked field goals of 30 and 22 yards and went 2-2 on point after attempts.
