Davis & Allen Named NWC Women’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Lacrosse for the week of March 31st through April 6th.

Lana Davis played a monumental role in major conference games this past weekend. Davis started her dominant performance with four goals and four assists in a narrow 13-12 win against Whitman, contributing five draw controls and three ground balls while scoring her goals on just five shots, all of which were on goal. On Saturday, the senior midfielder added three goals and three assists in a 15-12 win for the Bruins, despite trailing at halftime versus the Pirates. Along with her scoring, the senior recorded five ground balls and eight crucial draw controls that contributed to the comeback. Between both games, Davis also forced seven caused turnovers to help the Bruins open the season 2-0 in conference play.

Allen posted season and team-highs in draw controls (seven) and ground balls (five), to lead Lewis & Clark past Willamette 12-11 in both teams' Northwest Conference opener. Allen posted season and team-highs in draw controls (seven) and ground balls (five), to lead Lewis & Clark past Willamette 12-11 in both teams' Northwest Conference opener. The junior added one caused turnover and scored the game-tying and game-winning goal (17 seconds left) in the comeback win. The victory marked Lewis & Clark's first win over Willamette in three all-time meetings.
