The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Lacrosse for the week of March 10th through March 16th.
Women’s Lacrosse- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Lana Davis I M I George Fox | SR | Del Mar, Calif. | Santa Fe Christian
Within two games over the previous week, Lana Davis put up 10 goals on 15 shots and six assists, combining for 16 points to help lead the Bruins to a 14–5 win versus Occidental College and a 20–9 victory versus Willamette. Between both games, the senior also accounted for five caused turnovers, four ground balls, and 15 draw controls, while also going 3–3 on free-possession shots.
Women’s Lacrosse- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kate Meinhard I M I Lewis & Clark | SR | Shaker Heights, Ohio | Shaker Heights
Meinhard led Lewis & Clark with ground balls (11) and caused turnovers (nine) and added 10 draw controls to help the River Otters go 2-1 on the week. The senior posted three or more ground balls in every game and three or more caused turnovers/draw controls in two of the three contests. Meinhard opened the week with five caused turnovers, four ground balls and one caused turnover in a tight 13-8 win over Aurora University. She added four draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls on Saturday in a 9-8 overtime loss to Occidental University. Meinhard closed out the weekend with five draw controls, four ground balls and one caused turnovers to help Lewis & Clark post their first shutout in program history.
