Lakewood, Wash.– The 2026 Northwest Conference Spring Classic concluded early Sunday afternoon at the Oakbrook Golf Club, with the Linfield Wildcat Men finishing first and claiming top individual honors.
Day one of the NWC Spring Classic wrapped up with a tight scoreboard, but the Wildcats worked to maintain their 7-point lead and claim victory in round two, finishing 11 above par with a score of 288+291 (579). In second place were the Whitman Blues, finishing with a score of 295+292 (587). In third was George Fox with a final score of 298+297 (595).
Willamette placed fourth with a score of (598), followed by Pacific Lutheran at fifth with a final score of (601). In a tie for sixth was Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark, posting team scores of 604 on the final day. Rounding out the final standings were Whitworth (605) and Pacific (613).
Individually, Douglas Bailey of Linfield surpassed his opponents with an impressive day two effort, finishing in the first place position with a final score of 71+68 (139). The runner-up position ended in a three-way tie between Eli Harrell of George Fox, Ben Sweet of Whitman, and AJ Papajohn of Willamette posting final scores of 144 (+2). In a three-way tie for fifth was Linfield's Kellen Hudson & Ryder Ng, and Lewis & Clark’s Charlie Hageman (145).

The NWC Spring Classic marks the second of three conference tournaments that will determine the overall conference champion for the 2025-2026 season, and ultimately determine the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Golf Tournament. The NWC Golf Championships take place April 19-20th, hosted by Pacific University.
