North Plains, Ore. – Northwest Conference (NWC) men’s and women’s golf teams will close out the 2025-26 season at the NWC Championship on April 19-20, hosted by Pacific University at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. The conference title is decided by the lowest cumulative score across all three events: the Fall Classic, Spring Classic, and NWC Championship. The winning team earns the conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Championships.
Men
Through two events, the team race remains tight.
Willamette set the tone in the fall, winning the NWC Fall Classic with a 577 (285-292) to finish ahead of Whitman (586) and Linfield (593). Linfield responded in the spring, taking the NWC Spring Classic title with a 579 (288-291), followed by Whitman (587) and George Fox (595). With one win each, Willamette and Linfield enter the final tournament as teams to watch, while Whitman’s back-to-back runner-up finishes keep the Blues firmly in contention. George Fox and Pacific Lutheran are also within reach heading into the final 36 holes.
Individually, Whitman’s Mason Remington (140) earned medalist honors in the fall, while Linfield’s Douglas Bailey (139) claimed the spring title.
Women
George Fox has been the clear leader so far, winning both the Fall and Spring Classics.
The Bruins opened the season with a win at the Fall Classic, posting a 660 (319-341) to finish ahead of Pacific (664) and Whitman (666). They followed that up with another strong performance in the spring, winning the Spring Classic with a 610 (307-303). Whitworth (621) and Lewis & Clark (634) rounded out the top three. George Fox enters the championship in control of the standings, but Whitworth, Lewis & Clark, and Whitman remain in the mix for the final event.
In individual play, George Fox’s Katelyn Lam earned medalist honors in the fall (153), while Lewis & Clark’s Ahika Jani took the top spot in the spring (147).
The final 36 holes at Pumpkin Ridge will decide the 2025-26 NWC champions, with every stroke factoring into the overall team standings and a trip to the NCAA Championships on the line.
