Bobkiewicz & Sutin Named NWC Tennis Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Tennis for the week of March 24th through March 30th.

Women’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Riley Bobkiewicz I George Fox | JR | Star, Idaho | Eagle

The Bruins have gone 4–0 in their last four matches thanks to the resilience of play from Bobkiewicz. This past week, the junior won her last three doubles matches and three singles matches, helping the Bruins sweep both Huntingdon College and Puget Sound 7–0, along with a dominant 6–1 victory against Willamette University. Against No. 1 opponents in doubles, the Idaho native earned wins of 6–0 in Fox’s last match in Orlando versus Huntingdon, 6–4 versus Willamette, and 6–4 versus Puget Sound. In No. 1 singles play, she recorded victories of 6–0, 6–2 versus Huntingdon; 4–6, 6–4, 6–4 against Willamette; and 7–5, 6–3 versus Puget Sound.

Men’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Noah Sutin I Lewis & Clark | JR | San Antonio, Texas | Alamo Heights

Sutin went 4-0 over the weekend in wins over the University of Puget Sound and Willamette University. The junior teamed up with senior Kai Wills for a pair of wins at first doubles and added a win at both first singles and second singles. On Saturday, he earned a 6-3 win at first doubles and then earned a comeback 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 10-6 win at second singles against Puget Sound. He added a 6-2 win at first doubles and a 6-4, 7-5 win at first singles against the Bearcats.
