The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Tennis for the week of October 12th through October 19th.
Women’s Tennis- Student-Athlete of the Week
Sonya Drayton I Lewis & Clark | Fy | West Linn, Ore. | West Linn
Despite suffering an injury in her first set of the week, Drayton posted one match victory and earned a set win in a second contest. The first year closed out the ITA Cup with a 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 6-0 win over Vassar College's Sieun Lee. In her second round matchup, she battled back-and-forth with Emory University's Holyn Karp in a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 loss to the former four-star recruit. She opened the tournament with a loss to the second seed, Sophie Lau of Pomona-Pitzer, by a 6-4, 6-0 margin. Lau was ranked the 54th recruit nationally in the 2027 Class.

Senior Noah Sutin and sophomore Kaden Sigurdsson earned Lewis & Clark men's tennis' first-ever win at the ITA Cup. The River Otters double pairing defeated a team from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 1-6, 6-3, 10-8 in their second match. The win is believed to be the programs' first-ever win over the Stags.
