Women’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Faith Kert I Whitworth | SO | Cashmere, Wash. | Cashmere
Kert led the Pirates to their fourth straight match win and first NWC road sweep since 2023. Alongside teammate Clara Todd, she swept both doubles matches at the No. 1 court against Lewis & Clark and George Fox. She played singles in the No. 2 position and won a three-set battle (7-6, 4-6, 6-0) at L&C and cruised to a 6-3, 6-0 win at GFU.
Men’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Ashley I Whitworth | SO | Helena, Mont. | Capital
Ryan Ashley went unbeaten over the weekend to help Whitworth win its fourth straight match. He swept his doubles matches over the No. 1 Lewis & Clark and George Fox duos with teammate Henry Preacher by scores of 6-4 and 7-5. He played on the No. 3 court in singles and came away with a 6-1, 6-1 win against L&C and a 6-0, 6-4 win against GFU. The Pirate wins over the Bruins and River Otters were each the first since 2016.
