2025 Northwest Conference Rowing Championship Preview

VANCOUVER WASH.– Northwest Conference teams will look to compete for the 2025 Northwest Conference Rowing Championship title this coming Saturday, April 19th. The Championship will be held at Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, Washington and hosted by Lewis & Clark College. 

In the coaches preseason poll, the Puget Sound Loggers and Lewis & Clark Pios tied for first place, while the Pacific Boxers and the Pacific Lutheran Lutes tied for third place. During regular season competition, the Loggers dominated the water– claiming first place in Women's Varsity 8+ at both the Pacific Lutheran Invite and the Pio Invite. At the PLU Invite, Puget Sound clocked a time of 07:35.4, followed by Pacific Lutheran (07:57.8), Lewis & Clark (08:06.2), and Pacific (08:25.3). 

At the Pio Invite, raced at Vancouver Lake, the Loggers raced a Varsity 8+ time of 07:25.4, followed by Pacific Lutheran (07:39.4), Pacific (07:43.3), and Lewis & Clark (07:49.9). In the Lamberth Cup, Washington NWC rivals competed in Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ races– Puget Sound claiming first in the 1v8+ race (07:33.0) and Pacific Lutheran dominating the 1V4+ race (08:16.0). 

The four Northwest Conference schools will face off Saturday morning at 9:40 AM with the 1V8+ race, followed by the 2V8+ races at 9:50 AM.
