Whitman Secures 2025 Northwest Conference Men’s Tennis Regular Season Title, Earns Hosting Rights for Tournament

The Whitman College Blues have claimed the 2025 Northwest Conference (NWC) regular season title, finishing the season with an impressive 13-1 conference record and a 15-12 overall mark. As a result, the Blues have secured the top seed and hosting rights for the NWC Men’s Tennis Tournament. 

Joining Whitman in the four-team tournament field are George Fox University, Lewis & Clark College, and Pacific University. The defending NWC champions, the George Fox Bruins earned the No. 2 seed with an impressive 12-2 conference record, followed closely by Lewis & Clark at 10-4. Pacific University rounds out the field as the No. 4 seed with an 8-6 record.

The NWC Men’s Tennis Tournament will take place from April 19-20th, with all matches hosted at Whitman College. The semifinal round will be held on Saturday, April 19th, beginning with a matchup between the top-seeded Whitman Blues and No. 4 Pacific Boxers no earlier than 1pm. The No. 2 George Fox Bruins and No. 3 Lewis & Clark Pioneers will face off no earlier than 4pm.

The tournament championship round is scheduled for Sunday, April 20th at 12pm, where the winners of the semifinal matchups will compete for the NWC Tournament title. The champion will receive the Northwest Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
