Women’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ilina Jha I Whitman | SR | New Delhi, India | Modern School Barakhamba Road
Jha went 3-0 on the weekend in wins over Willamette and Pacific. Senior Jha put up all convincing wins; she won twice in doubles by 6-2 scores then had a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win in singles against Willamette.
Men’s Tennis - Student-Athlete of the Week
Zach Moore I George Fox | SO | Turner, Ore. | Cascade
Moore went 6-4 this week against some top-30 teams in the nation, including a perfect 4-0 against conference schools this weekend. He and his doubles partner Keita Shoji picked up wins against Occidental and No. 33 Cal Tech, he barely lost both matches against No. 20 Redlands, and then picked up singles/doubles wins against Puget Sound and Lewis and Clark. Moore typically plays as Fox's No. 2 singles player, but picked up a No. 1 win 1-6, 6-2, 7-5 over Puget Sound's Jason Rowe.
