NWC Runners Finish Strong at NCAA Division III Cross Country Nationals

Spartanburg, South Carolina.– The 2025 Cross Country season for both men’s and women’s teams comes to a close, with 8 individuals from the Northwest Conference finishing competition at the NCAA DIII National Championships at the Roger Milkin Cross Country Course. 

On the women’s side, Emily Foote of George Fox ran a top NWC time of 22:15.0 in the women’s 6K– placing 53rd. Following Foote was Lewis & Clark’s Malia Heien, placing 129th with a time of 23:01.7. Next across the finish line were Whitworth’s Lily Jones (23:11.8), Whitman’s Ella Harrington (23:22.5), and George Fox’s Hope Bridge (24:38.8). 

For the men, Cian Monaghan of Puget Sound crossed the finish line first for the NWC, placing 49th with a time of 24:49.9. Monaghan was followed by Whitworth’s London Haley, who placed 113th with a time of 25:24.9. Rounding out the men was Caden Hildenbrand of George Fox, who placed 125th with a time of 25:31.0. 

The women’s individual DIII National Champion was Audrey Maclean of Middlebury, crossing the finish line in 20:16.8. On the men’s side, Emmanuel LeBlond of John Hopkins took home the national championship, clocking 23:39.0.

In the team standings, New York University captured the women’s championship, while Wisconsin-La Crosse claimed the men’s title. Full results can be found here.
