Short & Lam Named NWC Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Soccer for the week of September 30th through October 6th.

Women’s Soccer- Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kate Short I MF I Puget Sound | FR | Denver, Colo. | East

Short had a great weekend for the Loggers, scoring both goals against Linfield on Saturday, including the game-winner in the 52nd minute. She was extremely efficient, scoring two goals on two shots, and helped lead the Loggers to an undefeated weekend. 

Women’s Soccer- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Marisa Lam I GK I George Fox | FR | Honolulu, Hawai’i | Moanalua

Lam recorded 20 total saves over two back-to-back games giving the Bruins a clean slate for the weekend. Lam played 90 minutes in both contests, recording six saves against Whitworth and 14 saves against Whitman to earn two points for Fox despite no goals scored. Lam has saved 46 total shots with a 94% save percentage on the season, and has not allowed a goal in a game where she played all 90 minutes.
