The Pacific Lutheran Lutes lead the 2024 women’s soccer preseason poll, as voted on by NWC head coaches. The seven-time defending team earned seven first place votes and 63 points for the top spot. The Puget Sound Loggers earned one first place vote and 53 points for a second place finish in the poll, just ahead of Whitman College. The Blues earned one first place vote and 48 points.
Whitworth landed in fourth with 46 points, followed by Linfield with 33 points. George Fox earned 27 points for sixth place and Lewis & Clark finished just behind with 26 points. Willamette ranked eigth with 18 points. Pacific (Ore.) rounds out the poll with 10 points.
Conference action picks up September 18th. The regular season champion will receive the Northwest Conference’s AQ into the NCAA Tournament.
