Women’s Tennis- Student-Athlete of the Week
Jin Yu I Whitman | JR | Portland, Ore. | Sunset
Yu won at doubles and singles to help the Blues to a 6-3 win over Colorado College…ranked No. 24 in doubles with partner Teleya Blunt, the duo won 8-4 on the No. 1 court to help put Whitman up. Yu provided the match-clincher at second singles when she blanked her opponent in the opening set en route to a 6-0, 7-6 (2) win.
Men’s Tennis- Student-Athlete of the Week
Andrew Kabacy I Willamette | GR | Vancouver, Wash. | Skyview
Kabacy and Quentin Nigbur won #1 doubles against California Lutheran on Sat., Feb. 17. Kabacy and Nigbur downed Andy Ai and James Truong, 8-6. Kabacy was defeated by Ai at #1 singles in a super tie-breaker played instead of a third set., 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. CLU won the overall match 7-2.
