The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of October 29th through November 4th.
Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Blair I QB I Whitworth | SR | Spokane, Wash. | Mead
Blair threw for a career-high 465 yards in Whitworth's win over L&C, which is the fifth highest single game total in Division III this season. He completed 24 of 35 passes (73.5%) and averaged 13.7 yards per pass. Blair threw three more touchdown passes and now has 30 this season to break Whitworth's single season record.
Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Zachary Brooks I LB | Whitworth | SR | Davis, Calif. | Davis
Brooks set new career highs for tackles (16) and solo stops (11) in one game during Whitworth's win over L&C. He also forced a fumble. Brooks now leads the NWC and ranks seventh in Division III for tackles per game (11.1).
Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Maclain Stoneking I WR I Linfield | SR | Loomis, Calif. | Del Oro
Stoneking was electric, returning punts and kicks in a 68-28 win over Pacific. Stoneking returned three punts for 106 yards including a 64 yard touchdown. The Del Oro High School product also returned three kickoffs for 81 yards, and a long of 40 yards.
