Men’s Swimming - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ezra Billings I Lewis & Clark | JR | Fairbanks, Alaska | Northern Michigan University
Billings swam the fastest time in the conference this season in the 100 Free and the fastest time by anyone in the conference outside of himself in the 50 Free, to earn a pair of individual victories against George Fox University and the University of Puget Sound on Friday night. In a rare conference meet with three teams, Billings posted the fastest-time in the NWC this season in the 100 Free (46.90) to beat out 10 swimmers. His time is a full second faster than the second-fastest time in the conference (47.95) this season. In the 50 Free, Billings defeated a field of 10 swimmers with a time of 20.90 (just 0.11 seconds off his program record time). The junior transfer also helped lead Lewis & Clark to a pair of second-place finishes in relays with the Pioneers placing second out of seven teams in the 200 Free and six teams in the 200 Medley.
