Guest, Lawson, & Hoang Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of October 15th through October 21st.

Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Devon Guest I WR I Lewis & Clark | SR | Phoenix, Ariz. | Mountain Pointe

Guest went off for a career-high 236 receiving yards and three touchdowns to lead Lewis & Clark past Pacific 51-37 on Homecoming. The senior caught eight passes and scored touchdowns from eight, 49 and 89 yards out. His 236 receiving yards are the third-most by a Pioneers receiver in program history and the eighth-most by a DIII receiver this season. He is the only receiver in the Northwest Conference to go over 200 yards this year. 
 
Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week

Joshua Lawson I CB I Whitworth | SR | Spokane Valley, Wash. | Central Valley

Lawson led Whitworth's defense with a career-high 13 tackles, including a career-high 11 solo stops, in the Pirates' win at Puget Sound.  He also had three pass breakups.  

Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Thien Hoang I K I Lewis & Clark | SO | Portland, Ore. | Lincoln

Hoang posted a career-high 15 points on Saturday by going 3-3 on field goals and hitting all six of his points after attempts in a 51-37 win over Pacific. The sophomore kicker recorded made field goals of 27, 33 and 42 yards– including hitting the 42-yarder as time expired before halftime. He moved into fourth place in program history in career points (113) and third in career made field goals (16). Hoang sits second in the NWC in made field goals (7-7) and points by a kicker (45).
