Glass & Donaldson Named NWC Swimming Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Swimming for the week of January 16th through January 22nd.

 

Women’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week

Glass managed six first place finishes on the weekend. Glass led the Loggers with two individual wins, the first in the 200-freestyle with a time of 2:01.75 and then in the 100-free with a time of 55.26 against George Fox on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon, Glass won the 50-freestyle with a time of 25.40 against Willamette. Glass had team wins in the 200-medley relay against George Fox plus wins in the 400-medley relay and the 400-freestyle relay against Willamette. 

 

Men’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior Edan Donaldson's three solo event wins led the Linfield men's swimming team to two dual victories last week. The Wildcats topped Pacific Lutheran 128-64 on Jan. 19 and followed by a 123-81 win over George Fox on Jan. 20. Against the Lutes, Donaldson earned top honors in the 200 freestyle (1:45.28) and 100-yard backstroke (55.89). He was also a part of the winning Linfield 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.97). Against Fox, the Colton, Ore., native finished first in the 50 freestyle (21.79) and was a part of the winning 400 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams. The Wildcats are 3-2 in Northwest Conference dual meets.
