Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week
Angel Le I Whitman College | SR | Bellevue, Wash. | Interlake
Helped the Blues to a 3-0 week and a clinching of the NWC regular season title...4-0 record on the week...in singles against Pacific, beat Cassidy Binder who is #7 in the West region and top 15 in the nation, and did so in straight sets.
Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week
Mason Tran I Pacific University | SO | Irvine, Calif. I Northwood
On Saturday, Tran and partner Quentin Gonzalez, teamed up to take down the #1 doubles pair in the West region in GFU's Pashayan/Camacho, in a nail-biter 8-7. Mason then went on to take down the #15 player in the West region, Mizerski (GFU), in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. On Sunday, Tran helped the Boxers secure their 2nd place conference finish with two big wins over Lewis and Clark College. He teamed up with Gonzalez again to win in convincing fashion, 8-2. He went on to complete his 4-0 weekend with a win over LC's Peev 6-3, 6-2.
