HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in basketball for the week of December 26th to January 3rd.
Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Carolyn Ho| Willamette University| SR | Parker, Co.| Ponderosa
Ho averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 blocked shots per game as Willamette went 2-0 against Vancouver Island (Canada) on Dec. 29 and Alma College (Mich.) on Dec. 30. During the two games, she was 10 for 21 from the field (47.6%) and went 7 for 7 at the free throw line. In an 83-59 win over Vancouver Island, she scored 15 points to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and one block. She added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in a 61-46 win over Alma.
Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Jordan Thomas| Pacific Lutheran University| SR | Chehalis, Wa.| W.F. West
Thomas had 23 points and 10 rebounds in PLU's buzzer beating 64-61 win over Gustavus Adolphus. It was the senior's fourth double-double of the season, shooting 68.8 percent from the floor while dishing out four assists and collecting two steals and a block.
