Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Olivia Mayer| Whitworth University| JR |F | Spokane, Wash.| Gonzaga Prep
Mayer averaged 23 points and 11 rebounds in two road games. She made 50% of her shots from the field. Mayer scored 27 in a win at Linfield, within two points of her career high. She continues to lead all of NCAA Division III with 15 double-doubles in 17 games.
Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Brandin Riedel |Pacific Lutheran University| Jr | F/C | Olympia, Wash.| Capital
Riedel averaged 21.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg for the week in a pair of wins for the Lutes. Riedel hit the game-winning layup with four seconds left in an 81-80 win over crosstown rival Puget Sound on Tuesday before matching a career-high with 25 points and 11 rebounds in a 90-76 blowout victory over Pacific.
