Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week
Olivia Morris | George Fox | JR | Happy Valley, OR | Clackamas
Morris helped the Bruins go undefeated this weekend against NAIA foe College of Idaho and stretch their winning streak to four matches. The junior won a doubles match at no. 2 in the lineup in the first contest and won her singles match, 6-1, 6-1, in the second half of a doubleheader.
Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week
Luke Lemaitre | George Fox | SR | Portland, OR | Westview
Lemaitre won his singles matchup against Montana, the No. 63 team in NCAA DI men's tennis, and helped keep the no. 1 doubles team competitive in a 6-4 loss. His singles match went to tiebreak in a 2-6, 7-5 (7-3), 10-8 final and Lemaitre was able to make multiple highlight-worthy plays on groundstrokes to stay in the match.
