Wisham & Kolb Named NWC Swimming Student-Athletes of the Week 11/22/2021 2:30:00 PM HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in swimming for the week of November 15th to November 21st. Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week Malia Wisham | Pacific Lutheran | SO | Duvall, WA | Cedarcrest High School Won all six events she competed in over the weekend, helping the Lutes extend their dual meet win streak to 23. Wisham won the 200 free (1:57.41), 500 free (5:16.69), and 100 breast (1:07.48) on Friday against Linfield with her 27 points scored making the difference in the 109-96 win. On Saturday, Wisham won the 200 IM (2:12.75), 100 breast (1:08.62), and 200 medley relay (1:55.41) against L&C. Scored 56 points over the course of the weekend and owns the fastest time in the NWC in the events she swam this week. Men’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week Brett Kolb | Puget Sound | JR | Carson City, NV | Carson City High School Brett Kolb won all four individual events to lead the Logger men to wins at George Fox and Pacific... his victories include the 200-breaststroke (2:14.54), 200-butterfly (2:00.41), 100-butterfly (52.6), and the 500-freestyle (4:55.10). He also placed second in the 50-freestyle (22.15). Kolb was on a second-place 400-medley relay team (3:35.06).
