Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Camy Aguinaldo | Pacific | SR | G | Honolulu, HI | Iolani School
Camy Aguinaldo led Pacific to two huge wins over Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a perfect weekend for the Boxers. Aguinaldo scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out eight assists against Pomona-Pitzer while shooting 50% from the field with two three-pointers. The senior had an even better performance at CMS, scoring a game-high 23 points while going 4-of-5 from three-point range with five assists and three rebounds.
Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week
Jordan Lester | Whitworth | GR | G | Sammamish, WA | Eastlake High School
Jordan led Whitworth to a 3-1 start. In the season opener vs. Greenville he posted Whitworth's first triple-double in 12 years with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists. He nearly duplicated that accomplishment in a win vs. Redlands (14 pts, 11 rebounds, 7 assists). In an 80-29 win at Wis.-Whitewater, he scored the final four points of the game for Whitworth and secured the game-clinching defensive rebound.
