Offensive: Keeton Heggerness, Pacific Lutheran (So., F)
Heggerness (Gig Harbor, Wash.) scored the first goal in the ninth minute of PLU's 2-0 win over crosstown rival Puget Sound to secure the NWC title.
Defensive: Nick Van Kleek, Linfield (Jr., GK)
Van Kleek (Tualatin, Ore.) stopped eight shots in a scoreless draw against Willamette. He also made a save to deny a Willamette penalty kick with less than 40 seconds left in regulation.
WEEK OF OCT. 28-NOV. 3
Offensive: Zak Gregg, Pacific Lutheran (Fr.)
Gregg (Federal Way, Wash.) tallied a hat trick in a road win over George Fox, earning six points nad helping the Lutes reclaim the top spot in the league standings.
Defensive: Cameron Perron, Linfield (Jr., GK)
Playing every minute in goal for the Wildcats over the weekend, Perron (Long Beach, Calif.) stopped six shots to preserve a shutout in 1-0 win over the Whitworth Pirates on Sunday and record a .867 save percentage on the weekend. He had a total of 13 saves this past week, and is fifth in the NWC with 4.30 saves per game.
WEEK OF OCT. 21-27
Offensive: Peter Stephens, Whitman (Jr., F)
Stephens (Newton, Mass.) recorded scored two goals in the Blues' shutout weekend, both in a dominant 4-0 win over Puget Sound.
Defensive: Owen Davis-Bower, Whitman
Davis-Bower made four saves in two shutout wins for the Blues over the weekend to record a 1.000 save percentage.
WEEK OF OCT. 14-20
Offensive: Luke Murdock, Puget Sound (Sr., F)
Murdock (Boise, Idaho) recorded two goals in a 4-1 win over Linfield to earn four points. He recorded a .625 shot on goal percentage on the weekend.
Defensive: Owen Davis-Bower, Whitman (Sr., GK)
Davis-Bower (Bellingham, Wash.) recorded back-to-back shutouts in 180 minutes of play – his third scoreless outing in three of his last four outings as the Blues took down Pacific (Ore.) and George Fox. He recorded six total saves.
WEEK OF OCT. 7-13
Offensive: Josh Schneider, Willamette (So., F)
Schneider (Washougal, Wash.) scored the game-winning goal with 17 seconds left in the second half, sending Willamette to a 2-1 victory over Linfield in the Bearcats only game during the week. Schneider barely beat Linfield goalkeeper Cameron Perron to the ball near the penalty spot. Schneider shot with his right foot into the left part of the goal. Both of Schneider's shots during the game were on target.
Defensive: Mason Kelliher, Willamette (Sr., GK)
Kelliher (Wellington, New Zealand) earned five saves, all in the second half, and provided strong play in the 18-yard box, as Willamette defeated Linfield, 2-1, in the Bearcats' only game. The senior played all 90 minutes.
WEEK OF SEPT. 30-OCT. 6
Offensive: Oscar Harding, Whitman (So., F)
Harding (Seattle, Wash.) scored a goal in both games of Whitman's two league wins against George Fox and Pacific (Ore.) this past weekend. The two goals were his first and second goals of the season, both proving to be gamewinners.
Defensive: Owen Davis-Bower (Sr., GK)
Davis-Bower (Bellingham, Wash.) allowed only one goal on the weekend in two conference wins for the Blues. He allowed only one goal in 90 minutes of play against George Fox while making five saves. Against Pacific, he posted a clean sheet after coming off the bench in the first half in what was a 0-0 game at the time to record a .833 save percentage on the weekend.
WEEK OF SEPT. 23-29
Offensive: Zak Gregg, Pacific Lutheran (Fr.)
Gregg (Federal Way, Wash.) scored three goals over the weekend, helping the Lutes win two road games by a combined 8-1 scoreline. Gregg currently leads the NWC in both goals scored (9) and points (19).
Defensive: Mason Kelliher, Willamette (Sr., GK)
Kelliher (Wellington, New Zealand) recorded two complete-game shutouts over the weekend for a 0.00 GAA, as Willamette defeated Pacific 4-0 and downed George Fox 2-0. He controlled the 18-yard box, was a key participant in Willamette's defensive possession with many touches on the ball, and registered a total of 3 saves. This season, Kelliher has a 0.67 GAA, four solo shutouts and one shared shutout.
WEEK OF SEPT. 16-23
Offensive: Keeton Heggerness, Pacific Lutheran (Fr.)
Heggerness (Gig Harbor, Wash.) scored four goals over the weekend as the Lutes finished 2-0. The sophomore tallied a hat-trick on Saturday against George Fox, scoring all three in a 21-minute span while also netting a goal in a 2-0 win over Pacific.
Defensive: Ryan Griffith, Pacific Lutheran (So.)
Griffith (Puyallup, Wash.) anchored a Lute defense that pitched two shutouts over the weekend and allowed just two total shots all weekend with just one on frame. The sophomore additionally tallied an assist on the game-winning goal against Pacific on Sunday.
WEEK OF SEPT. 9-15
Offensive: Jackson Moore, Pacific Lutheran (Sr.)
Moore (Spokane, Wash.) scored a pair of goals in a 4-0 win over Chapman to record four points and a .750 shots on goal percentage.
Defensive: Sebastian Lopez, George Fox (Fr., GK)
Lopez (Keizer, Ore.) kept two clean sheets in more than 200 minutes of play over the weekend. The Bruins' freshman keeper averaged nine saves per match and helped George Fox upset California Lutheran on its own pitch after earning his third career shutout in goal.
WEEK OF SEPT. 2-8
Offensive: Cesar Cruz-Espindola, Linfield (So., F)
Cruz-Espindola (Beaverton, Ore.) netted a hat-trick in the Wildcats' 8-1 win over Multnomah. It was the first career hat-trick for Cruz-Espindola and just the 12th in program history, helping the Wildcats score the most single-game goals in two years.
Defensive: Jack Cuevas, Pacific (Ore.) (Sr., GK)
Cuevas (Corvallis, Ore.)recorded back-to-back shutouts as the Pacific men's soccer team went 1-0-1 in the Boxers' two matches last week. Pacific started the week with a 0-0 tie against Oregon Tech. Cuevas made seven saves against the Owls attack. He followed that up with a two save effort in the 1-0 shutout win over La Verne on Sunday.
