Linfield Heavy Favorite to Win Pennant
SPOKANE, WA -- Co-defending champion Linfield College is a heavy favorite to return to the top of the Northwest Conference baseball standings, according to a poll of the NWC head coaches, released today.
The Wildcats, who tied for first place last season with George Fox, received seven of nine first place votes and 86 total points.
Willamette, which finished third in the conference last season, received the other two first place votes, but was almost 20 points behind Linfield in the overall balloting with 67 points.
George Fox comes in at third place with 65 points, while Pacific Lutheran is fourth at 59 points.
