Dillow won the 110 hurdles, took third in the 400 meter dash and 1500 meter run, and was fourth in the 100 meter dash as he finished second in the NWC Decathlon with 6141 points, earning eight points toward the Bruins’ score for the NWC Championship. His score also ranks ninth in the nation.

Mattox recorded the seventh fastest time in NCAA Division III history in the women’s 3000 meter steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays (mount San Antonio College) with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 10:23.34. She broke her own school record in the event by about 15 seconds (previously 10:38.05 in 2009). At the Mt. SAC Relays she placed sixth in a field of primarily Division I athletes.

Comito set a new meet and Whitworth record with his huge throw of 194’-11” in the discus. He broke a 50-year-old Whitworth record (185’-3.5”) that was a US National T&F record at the time it was set by Fred Shaffer. His mark leads all of NCAA Division III by a wide margin.

Stam won the high jump, shot put, and javelin and placed third in the long jump as part of her second-place finish in the NWC Heptathlon in Spokane, Wash. Her total score was 4,266 points to teammate Alexis Arnold’s 4,456, and earned eight points toward the NWC Championship. Stam has the fourth-highest heptathlon score in the country with 4,470 points at Cal State-Northridge Multis.

Maxwell won both the 400 (50.55) and the 800 (1:56.33) at the Pacific Luau. Running the 400 meter run for the first time this season, he qualified for the NWC Championships and also posted the fastest time in the event by a Linfield runner this year. He had already qualified for the league championships in the 800 meter run.

Turner set her second school record in as many weeks, breaking the Whitworth mark in the 1500 meter run with a conference-leading 4:36.59, which is also an NCAA provisional mark. She finished third behind two Idaho runners. She also finished fourth in the 800 with a season-best 2:18.90.

Comito improved his NCAA automatic qualifying mark in the discus, winning the event with his throw of 184’-3”. He was a foot short of Fred Shaffer’s school record, set in 1961. At the time, Shaffer’s mark was the US National Record. Comito also finished fifth in the shot put during the meat, featuring mostly NCAA DI athletes.

Castillo won the “A” section of the 10,000 meter run at the Willamette Invitational on Friday, April 1 with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 30:38.10. he won the race by .33 seconds over Jonathan Marcus of the Bowerman Athletic Club, holding off Marcus over the final 50 meters. Castillo met the provisional standard (31:13.00) by about 35 seconds.

Mattox placed second in the 5,000 meter run at the Willamette Invitational on Friday, April 1 with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 17:10.28. It was her personal record in the event. She placed second behind Kristen Rohde of Run Portland (club.). Mattox met the provisional standard (17:35.00) by about 25 seconds. She now has provisionally qualified for the NCAA meet in the steeplechase and the 5,000.

Street broke school and conference records in the pole vault, clearing a height of 13-3.5 (4.05m) to win the event at the Linfield Jen Boyman Memorial Invitational. In doing so, she also became the first competitor in the nation to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships, and ranks a full foot higher than the next competitor’s top mark.

Reeves had a tremendous day at the Peyton Meet, winning the 100 meter dash (11.20), 200 meter dash (22.90), triple jump (42-8.25), and running legs on the victorious 4x100 meter (43.67) and 4x400 meter (3:28.09) relay teams.

Johnson won the 100 hurdles at Westmont by improving her NCAA provisional qualifying .10 seconds to 14.74. She leads the NWC and ranks second nationally in 100 hurdles. She also anchored the winning 4x400 relay team that is first in the NWC and ran the second leg of the 4x100 meter relay that placed third in the meet but is first in the NWC.

Colignon won the decathlon with an NCAA provisional qualifying score of 6,207 points at the Linfield Multi-Events on March 21-22. He won five of the ten events: Long jump (20-10.50, personal record), shot put (43-09.75), 110 hurdles (16.41), discus (117-8), and javelin (157-10). He also placed second in three events, was third once, and fourth once. He took first place by 491 points.

Dillow finished second (to former GFU All-American and older brother Ben) in the CSU-Northridge decathlon with 6,701 points, surpassing the NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 6,600 points. It is the fifth-best decathlon score in GFU history. He also won the long jump and placed second in the discus, third in the pole vault, and fifth in the shot put, and posted NWC marks in the 400, 100, 110 hurdles, long jump, and pole vault.

Donovan took first place in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Willamette Opener while earning an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 9:22.61. He was more than two seconds under the provisional standard of 9:25.00. It is the second consecutive season that Donovan has registered a provisional qualifying time in the steeplechase.

Mattox achieved an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10:47.17 while winning the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Willamette Opener. Her time was well beneath the provisional standard of 11:13.00. Mattox placed sixth in the steeplechase at the NCAA Championships in 2009 and was ninth in the NCAA in the steeplechase in 2010.
