Major: Environmental Studies

Bonk won his third consecutive NWC Spring Classic title after winning a two-hole sudden death playoff with Whitworth’s Cameron Whittle. He came back from four strokes down on the first day to win the title.

Brianna Nap

Deer Park, Wash./Deer Park HS

Nap was a medalist at the NWC Spring Classic, coming from six strokes behind after the first day and leading the 10th-ranked Bruins to the Spring Classic championship by seven strokes over Whitworth at Apple Tree GC in Yakima, Wash. after GFU trailed by 10 after the first day. It was Nap’s 5th tournament win of the 2009-10 season.

April 6

Yutaro Sakamoto

Linfield, Junior

Mountain View, Calif./Santa Barbara City College

Major: Business/Finance

Sakamoto placed second among 78 golfers with a two-day total of 149 (78-71), leading Linfield to a fifth-place finish at the Cal Lutheran Invitational at La Purisima Golf Course. He was four strokes behind the medalist during the three-round event that featured 15 teams.

March 30

Tucson, Ariz./Tucson

Major: English/Religion

Hodge won the PLU Invitational with a two day total of one-over 145, carding a final round 72 to seal the victory. As a team, the Loggers finished in second with a 607, three strokes behind Pacific.

Women

Mandy Cameron

Redmond, Ore./Redmond

Cameron was the medalist at the PLU Invitational, leading the Bruins to a win by 39 strokes over UPS. Her twopday total of 161, and final round 78, helped the 15th-ranked George Fox team to its seventh win in eight tournaments this season.

Mountain View, Calif./Mountain View

Major: Business/Finance

Sakamoto shot a low-round 68 on the second day of the Logger Invitational to win the event by four strokes. He helped Linfield to the tournament team title as well.

Sarah Bicker

Puget Sound, Junior

Salt Lake City, Utah/Skyline

Major: Business

Bicker led the Logger women to a 39-stroke victory over second place Linfield at the Logger Invitational.  Her 77 was a collegiate career-best and helped her to a tie for individual first among 22 golfers.
