Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Joshua Taylor I Throws | George Fox | FR | San Jose, Calif. | The King’s Academy
Joshua Taylor had one of the best weekends in his brief collegiate career as the George Fox track and field team ramped up for the NWC Championships. Taylor was the top-finishing D-III thrower in the men's shot put at the Larry Byerly Invitational, throwing 51-10.5, a full three feet farther than his nearest NWC competition. Taylor's throw is the farthest throw in the NWC by nearly nine inches, the 38th farthest in the nation, the second-farthest throw in Division III by a freshman, and the second-longest throw in program history. In addition to the shot put, Taylor placed eighth in the men's discus, throwing 145-06.
